How To Color My Hair Violet

Solidarity with photos of our students

It 'a lot that I do not write on the blog, I think it's time to resume.
My school, like many schools in Modena, is occupied by two days. The students are protesting against cuts to public school in their own way and with their ways. This is a protest and that they believe portano avanti con tanta ingenuità ma anche con tanta passione.

Affix my signature below "virtual" and I will sign tomorrow morning at school in the most traditional.

With this announcement, the undersigned faculty of the School of Modena Sigonio wish to reaffirm the concern over the serious situation in which there is the Italian public school, gradually dismantled by a "reform" based solely motivated by economic outside of any educational and cultural project.

Most of the teachers of Sigonio is already implementing a form of protest which is attached to the document.

Therefore, the undersigned express their support for the student protest taking place these days in high school Sigonio of Modena, managed by students with a sense of responsibility demonstrated in the general organization and the activities promoted in those days.

The teachers hope that the initiative to protest is an incentive to return to teaching more informed and participatory.

ANNEX DOCUMENT November 15

Document of 15 November 2010

High School Teachers

Sigonio Modena

Since

continues the dismantling of public education caused by the Law 133/2008, the recent financial maneuvers and continuing cuts in resources, even if disguised as reform;

this continuous depletion due overcrowding of classes and the consequent increase of pupils in difficulty, with obvious damage to educational quality and increased security risks in schools;

increased the workload for teachers, many teachers see increased the number of assigned classes, decreasing (or reformed?) the number of hours of material per class;

to this increase in workload is not an appropriate recognition either in economic terms or in terms of professional recognition;

is further aggravating the precarious plight of so many colleagues who are taken away their jobs, but also to several professors in the province which will no longer be guaranteed a teaching post;

the reorganization of higher education by reducing or eliminating certain key disciplines for the training of future citizens;

the drastic reduction in staff ATA often prevents proper conduct of activities;

were cut allowances for school trips ove previste;

il blocco dei contratti e degli stipendi, già abbondantemente decurtati da fisco e inflazione e l’ipotizzata eliminazione degli scatti di anzianità, causeranno gravi perdite salariali che non verranno mai più recuperate, con gravi conseguenze anche su liquidazioni e pensioni;

il nostro Istituto non riceverà mai più dal Governo i 160.000 euro di crediti arretrati;

decide to take the following actions:

1. not participate in school trips both abroad and in Italy, including a single day, will communicate publicly the reasons for this choice. It is noted that the teachers, responsibly, they decide to preserve and study-abroad trip to Auschwitz, as already approved and in an advanced stage of implementation.

2. not pay in excess of the hours of teaching time chair;

3. not be available for remedial courses, both during the year, both during the summer;

4. shall undertake to notify the manager in each school safety hazard within the premises of the school or any breach of the rules;

5. refuse to receive students from other classes are doing in the classrooms where the teaching activity, except after written order of service;

6. undertake to achieve a reduction of bureaucratic burdens.

Teachers also agree to make known and to share the contents of this document with parents, students and all other components of the school.
