Per lo swap, c'era una vecchia regola che diceva che lo swap doveva essere il doppio della memoria disponibile; noi ragioniamo in termini di 1,5 volte la memoria, per cui se avete 256 Mb di RAM, createla di 400 Mb. Il valore esatto non esiste, dipende da quante applicazioni si hanno e quanta memoria consumano. Tornero' su questo post con dei casi reali di utilizzo con l'installazione mythtv. Perchè xfs? Il sistema di default per le partizioni è ext3, e lasciamo questo per la partizione di root; per il tipo di files video generati da mythtv, si presta meglio il formato xfs, anche perche' con ext3 c'e' un bug nella cancellazione dei file che richiede che si imposti una apposita opzione "slow delete" su mythtv.
